12 Days After Christmas

So we all know those gifts that the person's true love gave the 12 days before Christmas, but what about after? In my freshman yr. in high school choir, we got the song called "The 12 Days After Christmas" and so now I share these lyrics with you all:

"The 12 Days After Christmas" words and music by Frederick Silver

The first day after Christmas, my true love and I had a fight and so I chopped the pear tree down and burned it just for spite; Then with a single cartridge, I shot that blasted partridge my true love gave to me.

The second day after Christmas I pulled on the old rubber gloves and very gently wrung the necks of both the turtle doves my true love gave to me.

The third day after Christmas, my mother caught the croup. I had to use the three French hens to make some chicken soup.

The four calling birds were a big mistake for their language was obscene. The five gold rings were completely fake and they turned my fingers green.

The sixth day after Christmas, the six geese wouldn't lay, so I gave the whole darn gaggle to the A.S.P.C.A.

On the seventh day, what a mess I found: All seven of the swans had drowned my true love gave to me.

The eighth day after Christmas before they could suspect, I bundled up the eight maids a-milking, nine pipers piping, ten ladies dancing, eleven lords a leaping, twelve drummers drumming-well, actually I kept one of the drummers-and sent them back collect.

I wrote my true love "We are through, love." And I said in so many words "Furthermore, your Christmas gifts were for the birds!"

Merry Christmas!!!

You Are an Angel

A truly giving soul, you understand the spirit of Christmas.

Well I do have pretty much all angel ornaments...

Merry Christmas! (almost...)

You Are a Traditional Christmas Tree

For a good Christmas, you don't have to re-invent the wheel.
You already have traditions, foods, and special things you bring out every year.

So true...I am a bit set on the way things should be.

Finally a break from cleaning....so I took a quiz

Your Holiday Personality is Caring

You like to reach out to people all year long, but you're especially giving during the holidays.
Make those you love homemade presents (like cookies or scarves). Call someone who might be feeling a little down. Give to your favorite charity.

Recap of life

Let's see. I last posted on the 9th, so here's a recap of my life since then:

December 10th: We went to Medieval Times for Paul's birthday. I had spent Saturday night at Cyndi's mom's with Paul, Cyndi and their friend Angela and we watched "Shaun of the Dead" (I still want those hours of my life back). Sunday morning we got up and had french toast and eggs-real breakfast..not like the breakfasts I had that week before which was me eating a granola bar in my bed since I was too cold to get up until I absolutely had to. Then we went to church, came back, backed the car, got some Subway for lunch and then headed for Medieval Times. Once everyone was at Medieval Times, we wandered around and looked at the horses and gifts. Finally we got to go in. We were cheering for the green knight. He won a lot and I tried to get him to toss me a flower, but I didn't get one. Though Bradley and I decided to be annoying and booed the other knights, cheered really loud, stood up and sang to the red knight that he was going down because we all know that the blue knight rules. Overall good time. Then it was back to SD for me since I had finals.

December 11th: Spanish final at 8am. Like I said before, I barely think in English at 8am, let alone Spanish. I got up early to study more than I did the night before. It didn't seem too bad since she told us it was going to be the same as our worksheets with just some differences in verbs so I just studied those. At night, Cayla's friend Zander came over and we went to Fashion Valley and Longs Drugstore. Then we came back and dyed Zander's hair with wash-out dye. It only made his hair about a shade darker, not the black that he had been going for. At 11:30, by the fate of the coin, they went and got permanent black hair dye and we dyed it black. I had finished my paper earlier, and was up til about 3am doing hair dye stuff and baking cake and all that.

December 12th: Another 8am final. Boo. Writing an essay that is a self-reflection on the class. Not that exciting. And yes. Staying up til 3am the night before wasn't a good idea. Then I came back to the apt and did nothing. When Cayla came back from her final, we watched "Prime". It was cute, I dozed through a few minutes. After that I showered, then studied some. Then Tricia had rented "Devil Wears Prada" so we watched that. Then I studied more for my Communications final.

December 13th: Got up early to study more. Then took the final at 8am. I was done at 8:35 since it was only 50 questions and some of them were exactly like questions on the practice quizzes online and the study guides so that made it easy. Then I went and picked up my portfolio for HTM, got a muffin at the market and went back to the apt. I ate my muffin and watched some "Regis and Kelly" before falling asleep on the couch. Not long after Emily left for her final (I woke up for that), I moved into my bed and went back to sleep. At about 12, both Tricia and I woke up. I went online for a few minutes then went off to go pick up my final in Humaniities with my friend. After I got back, I found Tricia and Cayla cleaning, so I joined in cleaning up in my room so that it would be somewhat neat when I left. I barely started packing at about 2:30 or 3. Mom showed up at about 3:20. I was still running around and packing. We then walked over to school to see if they still have had something, then went back and packed the car up. I had so much stuff!! One might think I wasn't coming back, but some of the stuff I am leaving here, so its not that bad. We then headed off and met Jamie and her mom for dinner at Applebee's since they are moving to Hawaii at the end of this month/beginning of January. Then we headed home.

December 14th: Put up an inflatable penguin on the lawn with Bradley. Lots of fun. And choir practice. That's it.

December 15th: Went to the grocery store and did some laundry. Other than that, nothing.

Today: Put up the Christmas tree and watched "Pride and Prejudice". Also baked cookies.

As you can see, since I've been home I really don't do much of anything.

Oh chocolate..

Marzipan Almond
You scored 51% Dark, 48% Crunch, and 56% Chewy!

You are a marzipan almond: Marzipan center topped with a roasted almond in a dark chocolate shell.

Like the song, you're a little bit of everything, all rolled into one. You're not afraid to get down and dirty. You're a wild child with your eyes facing fun. You have your moments of creativity, inspiration, and sweetness without going overboard. Congrats, you are a fine piece of chocolate indeed!

GARFIELD CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY!!!! Ok I loved this Christmas special and when "A Charlie Brown Christmas" switched from CBS to ABC, Garfield disappeared, since it used to either follow or preceed Charlie. But through the wonders of Youtube, I found it and watched it with dinner. So here it is for all to enjoy. It came in 3 parts so they are all in order.

Stupid teachers

Everyone piles on work this last week and Thursday is the magic day for things to be due. Lame. I have my portfolio, a first draft of a paper that I can barely wrap my head around, a evaluation of competencies I have dealt with in HTM and evaluation of my group memebers for the music video project.

So yeah good times. All of us in this apt. are ready for finals to be over, have no more work and to go home and be with family and friends. It's a very sad picture here. We are all very sad about finals and are just like "Isn't if over yet???????"

8 days til home for me...more for the roomies so sad for them, but almost done for me!

Yeah...

So trying to keep going and doing one post a day ended pretty fast. Haha. I knew I wasn't going to last long. Though good job to those that did. Props. I sort of wasn't thinking about it all weekend, and I had nothing interesting to talk about and I was doing other things. Finals and all.

In fact, I had a final today. It sucks, but that's one less to deal with. He still wants us to go to class this week. Dumb if you ask me, but no one is. Tomorrow is my last speaker for HTM and Thursday is that last class when I turn in my portfolio. No final there. That's nice...But Spanish. oh Spanish. I have my oral part of the final tomorrow and the written part next Monday. I have an A- in there now..would not taking the final really hurt me? It already seems really hard and she said it was hard, so I think that I won't do so great on it as is and so it doesn't seem like it would make much difference. I guess I have my weekend all set out for me...what a sad sad weekend. Studying for stupid finals. All I really want to do is go home and stay there and not have to study for anything or go back after 2 days. Just a nice long break where I watch whatever I want and sleep in and have my kitty. My feet are cold at night. I could use a kitty. Just like the guys above me seem to have. I saw it. It stared at me and I stared at it and it was cute. Now I want it. I think I can go take it and be like "This is for when you almost flooded my apt!!!!!"

Sounds like a good plan to me...

Long night ahead of me...

Another movie night for us, but probably not the kind you are thinking of. Cayla and I are watching movies that she is going to write about for extra credit. We are currently watching "The Aviator" and will follow with "Primary Colors", "Farenheit 9/11" and "Hotel Rawanda". Great stuff huh?

I must say, Howard Hughes is really nuts...like Jude Law ate one of Howard's 12 peas and Howard stopped cutting his meat, pushed his plate away and couldn't eat. Very OCD...very very very OCD. Poor Howard..
