Update on life

So I haven't blogged in a really long time. Mostly because I wanted to include pictures in my posts, but have no card reader to upload pictures. Then last weekend when I was home I forgot and this weekend when I was home I couldn't find the card reader, so one day I'll just post photos from things that have been going on that I documented.

Let's see...haven't done this in a month, so whats going on...Well I cooked a real dinner that wasn't burned or anything. It was very exciting. It seriously came out perfect so that just proves I'm getting better at this whole domestic cooking thing. Then after cooking and eatting, I cleaned up the kitchen and scrubbed pots and cleaned the sink. All I need was an apron and some pearls and I'd be a 50s wife. Oh a dress too...and maybe a family to cook for. 50s wives didn't cook for themselves and if they did, they had a TV dinner, not a full on meal.

What else...well a few weeks ago I fell down going up some stairs...That wasn't cool. Not many people I know fall going UP stairs, but I've done it twice..once last year and then this time. I bruised myself and scraped my knee pretty good. And after it hurt to walk and of course it was my long day on campus so I had to walk all over the place. But after that I just came home and put some ice on them so the bumps that I knew were coming would be slightly smaller. It worked but I still had a very colorful bruise on my left knee.

Oh yes and I found someone that knows Alhambra!!! whoo! That is such a rare thing to find. But yeah so my 8am class got cancelled the like 2 weeks ago but we didn't know until we got to class and the teacher said she didn't feel well so we were just going to go over the quiz we got back and then we could go study for our midterm, which actually just meant we could go back to bed. But I had class at 10 and even though it was 8:05 and I considered going home and eatting since I had woken up at 7:40 and just got dressed and grabbed my stuff and left, I opted going to one of the Starbucks and getting coffee and a muffin. While there, this guy from my class came and we started talking about how we both got up late and hurried over to school for 5 minutes of class. So we got to talking and after we got our drinks he asked if I wanted to sit somewhere and talk more. So we went outside and talked more. Then he asked where I was from and I told him, and he was like "I know Alhambra. I lived there for the first few years of my life" and I was like "Really?" n he was all "Yeah then we moved to West Covina, but I love like the Pasadena area and all that" so we talked about Pasadena and Fossilman's and how there are like all of two white people in Alhambra and West Covina and how we really are the minority in those parts...not down here but at home, yes. haha. But its always cool to have someone actually know your area rather than having to say "Near Pasadena" when explaining where you're from.

Last Saturday, I went to Disneyland with my mom and brothers. Started out kind of rocky, but everything was cool in the end. But I'll tell you what's not cool-the cancellation of the fireworks show after standing there waiting forever for it. Stupid wind. Another thing that wasn't cool was my brothers smacking me because I didn't know what stuff was or because I had never seen a movie and especially because I hadn't ever been on Casey Jr. train or the Storybook boat ride thing....I tried pointing out that I didn't ride those things because I was coming with them when I was younger and they were so much older than I was so they didn't want to ride any of the "kiddie" rides..I mean even like Peter Pan and Snow White were big stretches for them at the time. They didn't buy it so I got hit. But I can cross off that Casey Jr. train off my list now. haha.

Personally, there are health issues in the family that have come up which were shocking, but we can hope things get better and more under control soon.

Oh yeah and Cayla and I watch a lot of movies and have been going to the gym and walked to Vons once for ice cream and cookies. True Vons is like about a mile away, but the cookies were worth it! MMM fresh baked cookies and Grey's Anatomy w/Dr. Mcdreamy!!!
