Real food, a movie, shopping and The Fray

In case you hadn't guessed, this post is about my weekend, you know the one I have been talking about for 2 other posts already.

Friday I had no class so I slept in. Thursday night we had stayed up watching "Almost Famous" and then Tricia, her friend Britney that stayed the night and I watched "Beaches", though I was the only one who stayed up for the whole movie. So I had been up since 2am. Friday I got up and Cayla's mom was just getting here, so I met her in my pjs. They left for breakfast and I watched tv. Eventually I went and showered. For most of the rest of the day, I played Sims 2. Good stuff those Sims. I hadn't really played in a while and the last time I did, I had tried to make my roommates and I, but found it too difficult to manage 4 adults. So I had created new Sims and was busy with that til like 6. Then Cyndi and her mom came and picked up me and my laundry (oh all the laundry) and then we went over to Chili's for dinner.

After dinner we thought we were going to hit a movie, but we missed all the 7:30/8pm showings so there wasn't anything til after 10pm, a little late. So we went to Vons to get some breakfast stuff and then back to Cyndi's mom's where we watched tv and played with Meeko, Cyndi's new kitty.

Meeko!!

On, Saturday, we got up and went to Fassion Valley Mall to the movies where we saw "Stranger Than Fiction". It was different and I liked it. After that we went to CPK and had linner (or dunch..whatever you want to call it). We then dropped off Cyndi's mom and grabbed the tickets and came back over to SDSU for the concert. We were pretty early so we bought our souveniers right away. We both ended up getting the sweatshirt jacket they had. It was $40, the same as a sweater at the bookstore so no big deal. The shirts were cute (for girls) but I wasn't sure if they would fit and the boys shirts weren't cute so yeah.

The concert of course had an opening band. They kept letting us know that they were The Damnwells from Brooklyn, NY. They weren't that bad. I liked sone of their stuff. They also were sure to let us know they had an album out. Their second I think they said.

After about 30 minutes of them and the switch of instruments, The Fray came on. They played some of the stuff on their current album as well as a few new ones. All of it was amazing. It started to rain during the show, which was kind of lame, but it wasn't hard rain, just a light rain. At one point, they said they were at the point of the show where they bring in a special guest to play with them. Tonight, it was Jason Mraz.

Jason Mraz being questioned by Isaac Slade

He played tamborine during "Over My Head (Cable Car)" as you can see in my previous post. The last song of the night was my favorite, "How to Save a Life". During this one, everyone was singing and Isaac would stop singing and we would fill in. Then at the end they all played really softly, then stopping all together and the audience sang to them as they took their bow.

Sunday Cyndi and I went to church then came back and picked up her mom. We went out and did some shopping. Then we went back and packed up the car, hit Vons so I could get some groceries and then came back here.
